After all of my recent grumbling and yammering, spring finally decided to give into my bellyaching and arrive! I left my apartment today with neither jacket, nor tights - it was divine. While I was buzzing around town, the sun warming my shoulders and freckling my nose, I found myself thinking "this is more like it"!
With that new found verve, I tackled my day, which was swamped. I was literally running between meetings when I saw a nice spot, just off the path, so I quickly planted my tripod and went to work snapping a few photos. Public outfit photos are always an interesting endeavor; I find myself trying to grab a couple decent shots, whilst ignoring the weird looks I get from passerby...but on a beautiful day, nobody seemed to question it!
I actually really love this outfit. The dress was a birthday gift from my Mom and I love the way it flows around my legs when I walk. The green of the cardigan and the pink and purple frock seemed to give a nod to the blooming leaves and flowers...

You have such a knack for mixing patters. I'm always surprised at the combos, but they work so well. I have to try this more often. The dress is so cute and with the cardi it seems very fresh.
