How to Wear Bold Prints

I was so excited to see powerful prints all over the Spring 2012 collections. This, folks, is a trend with which I can get on board! Interested in wearing a bold, notice-me print? Here are some tips:

  • Pair your print with neutrals. Beige or black accessories ground your look.
  • Start off with one piece. A dress, a blouse, or even a printed shoe can give you enough oomph!
  • Show a little skin. No need to be scandalous, but if you're wearing a long, printed skirt, try a short sleeved top. Wearing a printed blouse? Try it with a pencil skirt. Again, the idea is to ground the prints with something basic.
  • Match the print to your size. If you have a larger frame, small to medium prints will likely be more flattering. Petite? Lucky gal! You can pretty much get away with any size print.

Are you wearing splashy prints this summer? Have any tips to share?

  5. Blod prints are so much fun! I tend to steer clear of major jewelry when I wear them, the print speaks for itself! :) I love how you did your look!

    1. I feel like sometimes people get overwhelmed by bold prints - as long as you ground them with something, they're pretty easy to wear...and so summery!

    1. I am a little bananas for this print! It's loud, it's all over the place...but the cut of the dress makes it less outrageous. Right? Right??
