That One Shirt

Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Skirt: Anthropologie, Necklace: Anthropologie, Shoes: Target, Bag: Aldo, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Tilly's
I recently received this message on Facebook: Dear Boston Fashionista, can you help?! My job requires wearing certain colored embroidered shirts on specific days of the week to work. For ex: I have to wear pink every Monday, purple every Tuesday and so on. Any suggestions on how to keep it fresh?

I love this question! I grabbed a pink polo shirt out of the closet and took it for a spin. Here are some of the options I came up with! First, of course, I had to go with some bright colors (above)...

Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Pants: Via Seta, Jacket: Thrifted, Shoes: Chinese Laundry (swapped!), Belt: H&M, Bag: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses & Watch: Michael Kors, Necklace: Vintage
And of course, I love a pair of silk trousers for work! This time, I paired the shirt with a leopard belt and a funky jacket...

Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Skirt: Worthington (swapped!), Shoes: Melissa Shoes, Belt: Consigned (Second Time Around, Harvard Sq.), Bag: Urban Renewals, Necklaces: Guess, Pearls: Gift from my Folks, Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters
A little more traditional route with a black skirt and belt, and plenty of necklaces. And, finally...

Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Shorts: J. Crew, Jacket: Target, Necklace: Aldo, Shoes: Cole Haan, Bag: Vintage, Sunglasses: Forever 21
Dressing up some shorts with a blazer and feather necklace...What do you think? How would you style the same shirt, every day?

Here is another shirt I wore for the work day and the weekend

  1. I love the first and the last look the best.

First one's very striking and the last one's a bit naughty but very nice and classy at the same time. Actually, think the last one's my fave!

  6. This is seriously impressive. I saw that question and thought there was no hope for someone with such a sad, restrictive dress code. You have proven me wrong!

Ooooh, the last one is my favorite... probably because of my newly discovered love of shorts. So cute!

    Also like the first skirt.

LOL! Erin, I'm the one with the sad, restrictive dress code. Double that with being pregnant and I wear the same five outfits every week.

From Mrs. G: For some reason Google wasn't letting me login to post a comment on your blog so I am posting it here because I *LOVED* this post: Amazeballs. If you ever come to Dallas for a visit I will pay you big money to put together outfits. And by "big money" do you still accept payment in the form of boxed wine... or has your taste progressed? xoxo MrsG
