OK, let's be real: how many of you "plan" your outfits? I mean, I sometimes do - if I have something special on my calendar, I'll pull together a look the night before. But a lot of evenings, getting dressed the next day is not a priority - I'd rather spend the time with a new book or watching Rizzoli & Isles (Don't laugh. A female buddy cop shop based in Boston? What's not to love?). That's why I'm really into basic pieces that can go with anything - you know, so when I blearily stick my arm into my closet at 6:30AM (pre-coffee, no less), I can find something comfortable but chic, throw it on, and manage to look appropriate for my day (always work, sometimes an evening event). I also love versatile pieces - like these suede boots. I'm wearing them over-the-knee in these photos, but the knee folds down for a less edgy style, as well. Early morning post-Netflix marathon? Handled.

  1. Great outfit, and I love that big charming smile of yours. :)
I do like to plan outfits, but I don't do that every day, just sometimes.
    Have a great week ahead!

    1. Hi Kamisha - Thanks for reaching out, and thank you for reading! I find out about events through invitations and social media, like Twitter and reading blogs! I post about fun events that I know of that are coming up on Twitter and Facebook, as well as on the blog. And it is helpful to follow brands / shops you like to stay in the loop of their events, too! Hope to meet you soon! Cheers, K
