In today's lunch meeting, the topic of discussion wasn't office related - it was about Thanksgiving travel (ok, and Thanksgiving food). Seven of the eight people at the table were traveling for Thanksgiving, from as close as the next town over, to all the way across the country. It got me thinking about the lost art of travel style - there are definitely ways to feel comfortable, without wearing your pajamas to the airport! My travel style? Simple basics, like flowy trousers and a warm sweater. Or jeans, a tee and a crisp jacket. Or, in this case, the softest, coziest cashmere dress and flat boots (both with free shipping from Zappos)! I never wear makeup while traveling (I keep moisturizing spray and plenty of water on hand to combat dry airplane air), so big sunglasses are essential. And of of course, a hat, to hide that long-car ride hairdo. Where are you headed for the holiday? What is your go-to travel outfit?
