Hosting Hurricane Arthur for your Fourth of July cookout means less of a cookout, and more laying in bed to read. But don't feel too sorry for me - the storm blew away and I spent the rest of my weekend looking at water views. Well, that, and picking sour cherries from the tree in our yard! My sister-in-law, a NASA engineer and baking extraordinaire, made them into a delicious coffee cake, and now I am hooked! I'm picking as many as I can and freezing them - anyone have any sour cherry recipes they want to share?
A word about the outfit - I'm loving this white leather bag for summer (I've already worn it here & here). The best part - it was on super sale at the Wilson's Leather Outlet at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets. I hadn't been in Wilson's since I was in high school, but on this trip, I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of styles and quality of their products.
