You Picked 'Em, I Wear 'Em

Thank You to all of you who assisted me in selecting my new pair of Ann Taylor pants! As I wrote last week, Ann's new line of pants is pretty fabulous, coming in a wide variety of styles and cuts - when the good folks there offered me a pair, I simply could not decide between the relaxed crop, the modern trouser and the wide leg. You spoke, I listened, and a new pair of pants now sits in my wardrobe! Drumroll, please....

Okay, well, you can see the photos, so the winner is no surprise - you voted for the relaxed crop! The vote was very close - only one vote separated the winner from the runner up, which was the wide leg pant. I have to admit, the relaxed crops are kicky and cute, but the wide leg pants made me look long and lean, which is pretty tough to do on someone who is 5'2" - I may have to go back for them, too!

I will say that the wide leg pants are difficult to find in a petite size - I called several stores who didn't have the size I need. And I'm disappointed that the relaxed crop pants are unlined (the other styles had a smooth, soft lining) and don't seem to come in petite at all. But overall, both pairs are stylish, well-constructed and easy to wear. I'm looking forward to these cropped pants as a wonderful autumn transition piece - they look good with sandals, pumps and ankle boots. They're a fun shape: tailored, but loose, and they work well with flowy blouses, tees, tight sweaters and structured jackets. Thank you, readers, for selecting a great pair of pants - I knew I could count on you! Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. I just posted photos from Fashion's Night Out on my Facebook page! I will only say this: flipbooks are the new black.

  12. yay! These are the ones I voted for. You're right, though - the wide leg pants looked great too, so I'd go back for them as well!

You're only 5'2"??? How do you always look so tall? I honestly thought you were like 5'8".
