Who Do You Love?

Everyone has a favorite designer...or several! My favorite designers fall into a number of categories:
  • Those in my price range (Target, Zara, Anthropologie, Modcloth)
  • Those that fit me well (Chanel, Kors, Kate Spade)
  • Those whose designs I simply admire (McQueen, Balmain, Rick Owens)
  • Those who inspire me (Norma Kamali, Proenza Schouler, Vivianne Westwood)

Sometimes, though, we can get lucky and find all of the above. Which is why I absolutely love Rachel Roy. A California girl, she launched her line in the spring of 2005, and later, in 2009, her diffusion line RACHEL Rachel Roy at Macy's. I find both her lines to be extremely wearable and fashion forward at the same time. Her designs are comfortable and well made, and, particularly her RACHEL Rachel Roy line, priced in ways that real people can afford.

My dress and one of my necklaces in this outfit are RACHEL Rachel Roy, purchased off her website, which is user friendly and easily navigable. I like how this zebra dress could be worn alone for a hot date, or be thrown on under a jacket for every day wear. I think it could also end up looking somewhat demure under a simple black cardigan and some pearls. And! The wrap at the waist gives your shape great curves.

She makes cute jewelry, too! This chunky lucite and chain necklace could go with anything! How about you - who are your favorite designers? Whose designs are you drawn to, and whose do you wear?
