Sweet Greens Are Made of This

Being a blogger, I look at other blogs a lot. I get inspiration for layout, design and aesthetic for the blog, but, being that I read a lot of fashion blogs, I get lots of wonderful ideas for outfits, too! I especially love when I can engage in conversations between other bloggers and readers - like the one I've had with Vaughn of a New Day. She took a little daytime leopard inspiration from me, and I loved the way she paired it with kelly green so much I had to try it out myself!

I loved the look of the green and the leopard, with some other bright colors thrown in as well with shoes, a scarf and sunglasses! Where do you get your fashion inspiration? What are some of the best ideas you have gotten from blogs, magazines or friends?

Skirt: Stanley Platos, Martin Ross for Nieman Marcus
Sweater: Ann Taylor
Shoes: Zara
Scarf: Runway
Sunglasses: Tilly's

  1. I get most of my fashion inspiration from all the bloggers I read! Once I stop getting that I'll probably stop reading blogs all together- isn't that why we all do it at some level? The green and leopard is fantasique- I'll definitely be trying it soon!

I love your skirt! Your whole outfit is adorable the way you mixed the pattern with a solid color.

  3. i really love this combination! usually i always think red pops with leopard, but this green really pops too!

  4. @Noelani I definitely agree! I get some great ideas from magazines, etc.. but for "real world" inspiration, you know, clothes that I can actually WEAR somewhere, bloggers really offer the best ideas. I really enjoy seeing what other people put together!

  5. @brittany leigh I know, right? Red is usually my leopard go-to and I thought this was very fresh. Thanks to Vaughn of a New Day for the idea!

  6. I love that two of my favorite blogs are colliding! Yeah for the interwebnet :)

  7. Good look! I like the green and leopard too! I totally get a lot of inspiration from reading other blogs! I love that way more than magazines.
