Performancing Metrics

Don't Be a Square!

Back in school, I wasn't always that great in math. I just couldn't see it. But I loved geometry! Shapes and forms just made sense to me. Perhaps this is why I was drawn to this dress... The square angles printed on a voluminous skirt seem very contrasting - sharp and soft, all at once.

I wore this outfit on a day when I had a number of long meetings with new colleagues. My workplace is not an "all suits, all the time" sort of place, so I can have a little fun with my clothes, but I still need to look professional. I knew I needed something conservative, but I also wanted an outfit in which I felt comfortable (and that maybe gave a nod to my personality). The ponte knit fabric of this dress is soft, but also firm enough to keep its shape and not wrinkle excessively. This outfit kept my body relaxed so that I was able to keep my mind on business!
