Tickled Pink

I love that clothing can sometimes tell a story, or remind you of a wonderful memory! A few years ago, Mr. BF and I were at a summer music festival in Vermont Maine. There were a number of local vendors there, and I fell in love with a hot pink vintage skirt that had been printed with actual leaves dipped in paint. I cooed over the skirt, but didn't have enough cash on hand to purchase it, so I wandered back to my blanket and lawnchairs. Later that afternoon, Mr. BF surprised me with a little gift - sure enough, it was the skirt! It was a little gesture, but the skirt became one of my favorites, not only because of it's style, but becasue of the moment with which it is associated.

Clinton and Truman decided to get in on the action while I was taking photos. And by "action", I mean trying to eat dead plants.

I like this skirt with a plain tee and a sweater, but once it gets a little warmer I think it will also look good colorblocked with another bright color!  I am thinking lemon yellow or turquoise.

Do you have any clothes that tell a story? Some special item that brings you right back to a certain day or time? I would love to hear about them in the comments!
