Boston is one of those places where owning a car can be more trouble than it's worth. By the time you factor in payments, insurance, gas, parking (and parking tickets), a car can get pretty pricey. Not to mention inconvenient (think: renting a parking space a quarter mile from your apartment, moving your car every third Tuesday for street cleaning, shoveling your car out from under 2 feet of snow...). It's no wonder car sharing services are gaining in popularity!

Enter Enterprise Car Share. On Sunday, Mr. TBF and I decided to head out of town for an afternoon getaway. I reserved a car online earlier in the week, and it was easy to pick up (right in our neighborhood!). We liked the cute little Fiat, which we drove to the South Shore to visit the Greater Boston Wine Festival. Heading home, we took the scenic route up the coast, and found an adorable roadside snack shack. Ice cream and grilled cheese sandwich pit stop? Yes, please! At the end of our trip, we simply parked the car back in its spot, locked up, and left. Nothing to it!

Sound easier than owning your own car? Interested in giving Enterprise Car Share a try? Sign up through TBF to receive a one year free membership and $75 in driving credits! (Note: You must qualify for membership. $25 application fee required.) Where will you go on your summer getaway with Enterprise?

TEE: Stylemint (similar here, here, here) JEANS: Gap SANDALS & BAG: c/o ECCO WATCH: Michael Kors BRACELET: Stella & Dot SUNGLASSES: Gucci

  2. You're so adorable! You seriously look like America personified, but what an awesome way to get out of the city a little bit!

    1. That sandwich was KILLER. I had to include a photo! Honestly, I have not used Zipcar, so I can't speak to that. I can tell you I really did enjoy the Enterprise Car Share experience. The application was easy, the online reservation was easy, picking up / dropping off my car was easy...It was a good experience! The rates are pretty reasonable, too, especially for a couple hours in the city (say you need to run some errands).
