San Francisco Chic

This week, I'm in San Francisco, ostensibly for a friend's wedding, but also to play! On Saturday, Mr. TBF and I popped down the street from our rented apartment in Bernal Heights to the Alemany Farmer's Market - the first Farmer's Market in the State of California, established in 1943. We were amazed at the variety of items for sale - I've never seen so many different types of grapes! Now we've got a lot of eating to do; we brought home a baguette, grapes, strawberries, plums, olive oil and wine...

    1. We bought about 3 pounds of grapes for $3. Grapes that tasted like wine...so delish!

    1. It is a great city, right? I oddly find it similar to Boston in many ways (excluding the weather, of course)...

    1. Each of the stalls at the Farmer's Market was painted with vibrant colors - we popped into this one after the vendor left; I just loved the color, too!

    1. Were you? Oh my goodness! When? In which neighborhood did you stay? We stayed in Bernal Heights, which reminds me so much of Jamaica Plain here in Boston...
