Double Floral

This week marks my favorite holiday - the Fourth of July! The Fourth is also my mother's birthday, so, growing up, the holiday was always a big family affair - we'd go out to the lake and spend a few days swimming, horseback riding, golfing and generally laying about and reading. At night, the lawn chairs would come out, and the fireworks would begin - all in all, a delightful, if mosquito-filled way to spend the holiday. This year, Mr. TBF and I will be cooking out and watching fireworks from the balcony. I'm still considering the menu, so please suggest any of your favorite cookout recipes!

What are your traditional Fourth of July activities? Does anyone do something other than a cookout?

  3. That's one of those awesome Target dresses that does not look like it's from Target at all. I thought it was Lilly Pulitzer!

Happy (early) Birthday to your momma!

  4. Wow I love the vintage flavor this dress has. I was surprised it was from Target, I thought it was actually vintage! haha! And as for the 4th, I will also be attending a good old American cookout... there's nothing better!

    1. Let's just say this: The role of Dallas in Magic Mike was the role Mathew McConughey was born to play. He only wears a shirt once through out the entire movie, and then it's a crop top, paired with the tiniest pair of shorts imaginable. I'm not saying this is a good thing. I'm just saying it happened.
