Color-Blocking with Brights

I have color blocked before and I will do it again, this I can assure you. It's easy, and the look is perfect for summer! Unsure how to color block with such bright colors? Start off by picking hues in the same family (see: coral & pink and lime & cobalt) and you're in the clear. The more comfortable you get in "notice me" shades, the more you'll want to branch out to funkier combinations.Want more inspiration? Check out my "Color-blocking Brights" board on Pinterest!

(P.S. Sometimes readers ask me if I'll ever put up a "Shop TBF" page. Frankly, between consigning and swapping, I've never had the inclination. But when my friend Alana suggested Shoplocket as an easy online sales platform I figured I'd give it a try. I've listed some Miu Miu pumps to try it out Let me know what you think about the platform... AND, if you like Shoplocket, you can enter to win a $100 credit towards anything listed on the site. You can see a lot of the goodies currently listed on the Shoplocket Pinterest page. To enter, just send a tweet that uses @shoplocket and #ShopMyBlog stating what you'd like to buy or sell with the platform!)

  1. Lovely outfit. Color blocking is something I am bit scared of and so I haven´t done it, yet.

    1. Don't be afraid! IF you are hesitant of brights, you can try colorblocking with some more basics: navy, green, red, yellow, even a neutral like black or beige!
