It's official: the holidays are now in full swing. Santa is making his lists, and we're making lists of our own - gifts to purchase, parties to attend, household decorating... with just a few short weeks, how do we find a way to accomplish it all? Today I'm sharing a few items from my holiday list, and how I'm using some one-stop shopping at Savers to cross them off!

Item #1: The Neighborhood Gift Swap - Every year, my neighbors get together for an amazing holiday party filled with a lot of laughter. The main event? A gift swap that can get both heated and silly. Whether I want a gift that is festive or funny, practical or playful, Savers is a great place to find it

Item #2: The Fancy Egg Nog Party - The Commodore's Egg Nog soirée at our yacht club (I know, I know) is the party of the holiday season. Complete with an open raw bar (my favorite kind of bar!) and delectable desserts, this event requires a sophisticated, dressy outfit - and hey, who doesn't love picking up a new little number to wear to festive holiday fêtes? Possibly you have several events where you'll be running into the same people, and you don't want to wear the same dress? With Savers' low prices, you could pick up either one or a couple of outfits to wear to all of your holiday parties.

Item #3: The Holiday Sweater PartyThe ugly sweater phenomenon is undeniable, but I happen to be a bit more partial to the festive sweaters that lean more on the “cute” side -  take this gray one embroidered with snowflakes, for example. I found this (100% wool) sweater at Savers for a whopping $4.99 - and it's adorable! I could style it with denim, with a sequined skirt (perhaps for the aforementioned fancy party), black wool trousers, a leather pencil skirt... ok, you get the idea - it's versatile! Did I mention cute? And only $4.99?

Item #4: Tidy Up, and Give Back - My house has only three (teeny-tiny) closets. When new holiday gifts arrive, other things must leave. Savers makes it easy to donate your gently used items and support nonprofits in your community. Each Savers store supports a contracted nonprofit partner who receives regular payments from Savers in exchange for providing Savers with community-donated goods (In the Boston area, Savers supports the Epilepsy Foundation New England). Over the past ten years, Savers has paid its nonprofit partners more than $1.5 billion! The process could not be simpler: drop off your donations of clothing or household items to the Community Donation Center located at your nearest Savers storeToo busy to drop off? Visit www.savers.com to find a list of nonprofits to pick up your donated items right at your house

And just like that, a few items knocked of the list! Feel free to use that extra time over a glass of egg nog.
