This is one of my typical winter weekend outfits - relaxed, easy, perfect for running errands (like grocery or holiday shopping). But despite being simple and cozy, there's a little "rock" in this outfit - just take a peek at the accessories. First, these Rockport booties are crazy comfortable and are perfect for December daytimes. Massachusetts based Rockport understands we Bostonians are always walking, and need shoes that can handle cobblestone streets. I can run around in these booties all day and my feet feel fantastic. Secondly, my colorful bracelets are actually made from guitar strings! Wear Your Music is another New England based company (out of Rhode Island). If you are struggling to find a gift for a music lover, Wear Your Music offers bracelets made from the guitar strings of over 150 famous artists. Finally, this cable knit sweater is from New Hampshire based Garnet Hill, who specializes in beautiful, natural designs. You can see how I have styled four of their toasty sweaters over on their blog, Threads. Supporting three local companies, while keeping cozy, and still looking cool? Rock on.
