Style it Simple, Part I

Wardrobe Wake-up, Theory Tillora

Wardrobe Wake-up, Theory Tillora, boston fashion blog

Fashion is an industry of consumption. Designers are taxed to churn out an ever-growing list of collections, bringing new styles and "must-haves" to market, and the fashion media is laser focused on "what's new". It's not necessarily a bad thing (hey, I blog about it!), but keeping up can be daunting, especially if we don't have the time, money, or inclination to follow trends. So this week I'm keeping it simple - looking at timeless pieces that can be worn in a variety of circumstances. You know, the stylish workhorses of your closet! And since I know you're all extremely busy, I'm pulling these chic classics from brands that make your shopping experience streamlined and simple.

Naturally, a LBD has to be involved, but what makes this one special isn't just the long sleeves and fit and flare shape (which is flattering for pretty much every body), it's how easy it was to find this dress. Boston-based Wardrobe Wake-up is one of my favorite new "fashion on demand" services (you'll see another one later this week). Wardrobe Wake-up understands that we want to keep our closets streamlined, but also want to try the hot trends, or just have something new for a big night out. They'll deliver a high-end piece directly to your door to try for a full month. Wear it as much as you like, then either buy the piece at a discount, or send it back using a provided, pre-paid label, no pressure! It's a simple way to add some variety and spice to your closet - or to find the perfect staples that will keep you stylish for years.
