Weekend Discoveries

A great workout, delicious food, a blow out, and a little shopping - all Sundays should be thus! My pal Marissa and I spent yesterday at the new Chestnut Hill Square, where I discovered the following:

  • Sail Loft offers so much more than Keihl Patrick James bracelets and whale-embroidered polos. While the Cape Cod prepster basics are represented, Sail Loft also carries pieces from the likes of Vince and Rebecca Taylor. It's also one of just a few shops (maybe the only shop?) in town to carry Mara Hoffman.
  • I need to get less snobby about chain restaurants. Seasons 52 and Brio Tuscan Grille offer delectable, non-calorie-laden dishes, and some seriously tempting desserts (think: key lime pie and butterscotch pecan bread pudding)!
  • Also - not related to Chestnut Hill Square - apparently overalls are back. (Evidence: here, here. Anecdotal Evidence: I recently spotted overalls on sale at TJ Maxx.) What. the. heck?

  1. Love the blowout, the hair looks great!

I don't get the whole overalls thing. That's one trend I'm staying far away from.

    Happy spring(ish) day tomorrow!

I stopped at the Sail Loft a week or so ago and thought it to be a great find! Not overwhelming , helpful staff, some very special pieces in both jewelry and clothing. Can't wait to go back and look forward to visitng their store on Nantucket

    1. Agreed all around - was really pleased with the shop!

  3. overalls = blek. My humble opinion. :)

  4. i need to stop by this new shopping mecca! have a nice weekend!

  5. I love the Sail Loft! I know a girl that works at the one on Nantucket and their stuff is great. My only complaint is they're closed for the season right now! I can't wait until they're open again so I can browse :)

    1. Get thee to the Chestnut Hill shop, which is most definitely open!
