Pre-Fall

Isn't it crazy how there seem to be so many seasons in fashion? Spring, fall, resort, pre-fall, and with fast fashion retailers like H&M, it can seem like they all blur together. A few weeks ago, I had a good laugh with Lei Ann (Lei Ann...Off Duty), Holly (Covetous Creatures) and Najeema (A Stylized Hysteria) over pre-fall in particular. Basically, pre-fall is this: Take a dress, add black tights, and a cardigan or jacket. So I had to laugh when I found this safari dress at Mint Julep's crazy sidewalk sale this past weekend. Sure, it looks great now, but how pre-fall is this dress? Imagine it with black tights, awesome boots and a jacket! You probably won't have to imagine for long - I'll be bringing this one back as soon as the centigrade drops.

Dress: LA Made via Mint Julep

  6. That's so pre-fall! And if you unbutton it and add sunglasses, a straw hat and a bikini top it's totally resort - ha! Great find!

  7. LOL, it's definitely pre-fall. And going forward, add a fur vest, hat, and boots with socks and it's winter-ready! Am I taking this too far?

ps- Demanding cat pics. Otherwise I'm going to crawl into your home and take them myself!

  12. Hahahhaa, so true! My sister and I were just talking about pre-fall styling today when we were shopping for shoes. I tried on a pair of beige Nine West sandal/wedges that would have been so perfect with maroon stockings!
