Snow Day

Last Friday, we had snow (Thought it was spring? April Fools!). On a day when I was wearing a sweatshirt dress and snow boots, I was not inclined to take blog pictures. But I have been thinking a lot about the purpose of fashion / outfit blogs (in part thanks to an excellent post on Better In Sepia). I think if we wanted to see glamorous outfits on models every day, we'd stick to Vogue and W. And while it is fun to see fabulous, expensive clothes on tall, thin, gorgeous women, the reason we turn to blogs is so we can see how real people dress in their every day life. It is a way for us to take inspiration from the every day, not the someday, maybe. So, in the spirit of Normal Women Everywhere, I bring you... my snow bunny ensemble.

Okay, so it was cold, too. But!  When life hands you snow, you should make...snowballs.
Hopefully, we won't need to do any more snow posts and these boots can go to the cobbler to get cleaned up for next year. Here's hoping you don't see them for at least another 7 months!

  3. Love the touch of color with the tights! Also I wouldn't have minded a side-view as I was trying to determine if your boots had a wedge heel or what. LOVE LOVE LOVE. And who cares if you were wearing a sweatshirt dress and snow boots -- I'm sure you rocked it!
